Experienced governance leader Fiona Oliver has been appointed to the Board of the Guardians of New Zealand Superannuation, the manager of the New Zealand Superannuation Fund.

Following an extensive executive career in funds and asset management in New Zealand and overseas, Ms Oliver has held governance roles across a breadth of sectors including renewable energy, natural gas, technology, commercial property, financial services, professional services, and sport.

Guardians’ Chair Catherine Drayton welcomes Ms Oliver’s appointment.

“Fiona brings extensive experience to the Guardians’ governance team along with a strong understanding of global financial influences.”

Existing Board Member Doug Pearce has been reappointed to the Guardians’ Board until 30 September 2024.

Mr Pearce was first appointed in 2016.
